MINIKHAN Official Guide ⑤ If It’s Your First Time with MINIKHAN, Remember This
본문
How to travel without accidents or extra costs
If it’s your first time,
these worries are normal.
-
What if I do something wrong?
-
Are there too many rules?
-
Will it be harder because I’m a foreigner?
You’re okay.
Just remember what’s below.
This checklist assumes you understand
how campervan travel works in Korea →
[Why a Mini Campervan Makes More Sense in Korea]
1️⃣ If you see wind, close the awning
This matters most.
-
Even a little wind → don’t open the awning
-
If wind starts while it’s open → close it right away
Awnings are
weak against wind, rain, and snow.
Once damaged,
partial repairs are difficult, and
full replacement costs may apply.
If you’re unsure,
not using it is the safest choice.
2️⃣ Always cook outside the vehicle
MINIKHAN provides
a full camping gear set for free.
That makes the rule simple.
-
Cooking → outside the vehicle
-
Inside the vehicle → no fire
If cooking is done inside
or food contamination is heavy,
additional cleaning or laundry fees may apply.
Cooking outside
is safer and more comfortable.
3️⃣ Firebox and griddle are not the same
This part often causes confusion.
-
Firebox → firewood only
-
Griddle → gas stove only
No grilling meat on the firebox ❌
No placing the griddle on the firebox ❌
After use,
please clean the equipment before returning it.
This isn’t just a rule.
It’s basic courtesy for the next traveler.
If you’re unsure about camping setup and parking,

4️⃣ When camping starts, check the battery first
Always check these two things.
-
Turn the dashcam OFF
-
Remove the car key completely
If you forget,
the battery may discharge.
If roadside assistance is needed,
the dispatch cost is the customer’s responsibility.
Most battery issues happen
not because of defects,
but because people simply forget.
5️⃣ Tolls and parking rules in Korea — just remember this
Tolls
-
Highways require cash payment
-
Use lanes marked [Cash]
Parking
-
Always use designated parking lots
-
Even short stops (around 5 minutes) can result in a fine
Speeding
-
Speed cameras are common
-
Speed limits are strictly enforced
Korea takes road rules seriously.
6️⃣ If the wind picks up, close everything again
Awnings and rooftop tents
are especially vulnerable to wind.
-
Wind starts → close immediately
-
If you hear noise while closing,
adjust it by hand from the rear before finishing
Damage often means
full compensation, not repair.
7️⃣ Campsite reservations must be made in advance
You can choose locations
using the Google Maps provided by MINIKHAN, but:
-
Public campsites do not allow same-day reservations
-
Advance booking is required
If you have a place in mind,
contact the local manager
by message or phone first.
8️⃣ If you’re unsure, contact us right away
During the trip,
you don’t have to decide everything alone.
-
WhatsApp support is always available
-
English is OK
-
Just explain the situation
MINIKHAN believes
it’s better to prevent problems
than to fix them later.
In one line
-
Wind → close the awning
-
Cooking → outside
-
Battery → always check
-

If you follow this,
